The Department of English was established in 1964. The main objective of this department is to enrich our students with literary knowledge and communication skills.
At present there are four faculty members.
Besides regular courses, the department also conducts co-curricular activities under The English literary club. Various competitions such as poetry writing, essay writing, dialogue recitation, debate competition etc. are held for the students. The Department has also conducted Certificate Course on Communicative English. The department also releases the biannual magazine ‘Bloom’ every semester; it is a manuscript magazine where the students contribute their poetry, essays, drawings etc. which helps to bring out the hidden talents of our students.
